Santos Tour Down Under Success

The 2014 Santos Tour Down Under was again a huge success for the South Australian Government.

Held each year in Adelaide and regional South Australia, the event has grown exponentially to become the largest professional road cycling race in the southern hemisphere and is the season opening event of the UCI WorldTour calendar.

Beyond Action provides a turnkey solution with over 25 hours of live TV and Web coverage plus daily highlight programs starting with the pre event street course, right through to all six stage races. The programs are produced for Channel 9 and air nationally on the GEM and Nine platforms, as well as online through NineMSN. The race coverage was also supported by extensive news and Today Show inserts.

The Santos Tour Down Under is also seen by millions of viewers around the world in all key territories through the international marketing provided by the Tour’s TV distribution agency ASO and facilitated by Beyond Action

This year the victor's spoils went to Simon Gerrans who rides for the Australian UCI Pro Tour team, Orica-GreenEDGE. Gerrans who celebrated Australia Day by winning his third Santos Tour Down Under crown in front of 115,000 fans in the Adelaide City circuit.
