Prison Songs Director wins Best Direction in a Documentary at the Australian Directors Guild Awards

12th May 2015

Prison Songs director Kelrick Martin has won the award for Best Direction in a Documentary (Stand Alone category) at this year’s Australian Directors Guild (ADG) awards. The prestigious ADG Awards ceremony was held in Melbourne on Friday 8th May, and recognises outstanding achievements by directors in a range of categories. Winning this award is a great honour for Australian directors as their works are judged solely by their peers.

Kelrick, currently working as the Indigenous Manager at ScreenWest, said "I am humbled and delighted to have been selected by ADG for this award and would like to thank all those who supported me with the production of Prison Songs, including Harry Bardwell, Ron Saunders and everyone at Beyond."
