July 1st, 2005: Beyond International Limited (ASX: BYI) is projecting a 20% year on year increase in television production from $40 million in 2005 to $48 million in the 2005/06 financial year.
Total confirmed production orders to be brought to account in the 2005/06 financial year currently total $33 million. Over 65% of these production orders are sourced from broadcasters in the USA and Europe.
The Company expects to meet its pre tax operating profit guidance of $3.3 million although it did not proceed with a Media Fund in 2005. This points to the continued strength and growth in Beyond’s underlying business of television program production and international sales. Management expect operating profits to continue to increase in the 2006 financial year.
The significant television series being produced by Beyond in the 2005/06 financial year include Mythbusters, Beyond Tomorrow, Hot Property, Backyard Science, and Chasing Nature.
