Beyond International Limited appoints a new Non-Executive Director

September 27th, 2005: The Board of Beyond International Limited (ASX:BYI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Robertson as a Non-Executive Director.

Ian Robertson is a commercial lawyer with extensive legal and commercial experience, particularly in media, entertainment and communications. For the past 15 years he has been a partner of the Australian law firm Holding Redlich. In May 1994 he relocated from Melbourne to establish the firm’s Sydney office which today employs more than 100 staff.

He currently holds the joint positions of head of Holding Redlich's national media, entertainment and technology practice and Managing Partner of the firm's Sydney office.

Prior to joining Holding Redlich he worked for 7 years in the Fairfax Group - for 5 years as the (sole) corporate solicitor for David Syme & Co. Limited, publisher of The Age (and which was then a listed public company), and 2 years as a senior executive of AAV Australia Pty Ltd.

He has served on a number of private and public sector boards, including as a director and later deputy chair of Film Australia Limited, for seven years as a part-time member of the Australian Broadcasting Authority, and is currently chairman of Ausfilm International Inc.
