September 14th, 2007: Beyond International Limited (ASX code: BYI), one of Australia’s leading television production and distribution companies has fuelled the expansion of its television production arm following the acquisition of Eurocam.
Sydney based Eurocam focuses on the production and distribution of sports programming, producing coverage for Australian and international events including the Red Bull Air Race and X Fighters Motorcross series, the Tour Down Under Road Cycling event, and various other sports such as surfing, beach volleyball, athletics, motorsports, and extreme based genres.
Eurocam is also experienced in producing sports magazine programming including series such as “Inside Sport”, “Legends of Sport” and extreme sports series “FREE”, airing on broadcasters Network Ten and Fox Sports Australia. In addition, Eurocam has a catalogue of titles for which they hold distribution rights. The company has been operating for more than 12 years.
Commenting on the acquisition Mikael Borglund, Managing Director, Beyond International said: “We are very pleased with this acquisition.
