Experience an epic journey of tiny proportions with Minuscule: Valley of the Lost Ants

Feb 04, 2014

This school holidays sees the highly-anticipated release of MINUSCULE – VALLEY OF THE LOST ANTS to cinemas in 2D and 3D. A charming film based on the hugely popular ABC TV program, MINUSCULE – VALLEY OF THE LOST ANTS combines award-winning 3D CGI-animated characters with live cinematography, offering audiences a small-scale adventure with big-screen drama, and showing that bravery has nothing to do with size.

In a peaceful little clearing lays the hastily abandoned remnants of a delicious picnic lunch - in particular a treat highly sought after by the creatures of the ground, a box of sugar. Not far away new life is entering the world in the form of three baby ladybugs, and when one of these brave little ladybugs is displaced from his family, he finds himself caught in the middle of a terrifying battle between two tribes of ants.

Follow this epic journey at “grassroots” level, where the tiny ladybug befriends an equally tiny ant, and together they endeavour to save the anthill from a red ant assault and reap their sweet rewards.

A perfect school holiday activity for the whole family, MINUSCULE – VALLEY OF THE LOST ANTS will be exclusively screening at Melbourne Cinema Nova from April 3, and at Event / Greater Union / Birch Carroll & Coyle Cinemas nationally from May 6.

Beyond Home Entertainment will release MINUSCULE – VALLEY OF THE LOST ANTS on Blu-Ray, DVD and digital download from July 2, 2014.
