Beyond Distribution new product for 2004

Beyond International Limited’s (ASX-BYI), wholly owned subsidiary Beyond Distribution, has secured a strong line-up of new television programs for exclusive international distribution in 2003/2004.

These new programs include the following:

1. Small Claims, a 1 x 100 minute mystery thriller tele-feature, starring Rebecca Gibney (Halifax f.p) and Claudia Karvan (Secret Life of Us). Directed by Cheire Nolan (Thank God He Met Lizzie), the tele-feature is an RB production and will premiere on Network Ten in Australia.

2. The Cooks, a 13 x 60 minute drama produced by Penny Chapman (Temptation) and broadcast in Australia on Network Ten, features local talent including Toby Schmitz, Kate Atkinson and Emma Lung.

3. New McDonald’s Farm, a 45 x 25 minute preschool series. Executive Producer Ron Saunders (Spellbinder, Johnson & Friends) joins with director Ian Monro (Hi 5) and writer Simon Hopkinson (Bananas in Pyjamas). Produced by Pacific & Beyond, New McDonalds Farm has been commissioned by the Nine Network in Australia.

4. Through my Eyes, a 2 x 120 minute mini-series based on the Azaria Chamberlain disappearance. Lindy Chamberlain consults for this series which is produced by Liberty & Beyond and commissioned by the Seven Network.

Total production budgets for these new programs are approximately $15m.

Fiona Crago, Beyond Distribution’s General Manager, commented today, “The international television marketplace has stabilised somewhat over the last year and we anticipate signs of improvement this financial year”.
