TELEVISION PRODUCTION UP APPROX 30% TO RECORD LEVELS

Beyond International Limited (ASX-BYI) is continuing to experience strong revenue and profit growth in its television production operations.

Total television production commissions agreed so far this financial year have increased approximately 30% to $36,000,000 compared with the total actually completed last year.

The fastest growing sector is new non-fiction programming which is currently approximately $20,000,000 of this total. In recent years this has been the most profitable sector of Beyond's television production operations. Approximately 85% of this $20,000,000 has been commissioned by international broadcasters, particularly those located in the US.

The programmes produced for US broadcasters include the following:

In Australia the Seven Network has ordered Series 6 of Hot Auctions and Hot Property for delivery in 2004.

The drama and children's television commissions have increased by approximately 20% to approximately $16,000,000 so far this year. This type of production has been less profitable in recent years and continues to experience weak international demand for finished product, although markets have improved in recent months.

These drama and children's programmes will be produced by the joint-venture companies, Beyond Simpson Le Mesurier Pty. Limited and Pacific and Beyond Pty. Limited and will be exclusively distributed in the international markets by Beyond Distribution Pty Limited.

Beyond is currently finalising additional production commissions in Australia and overseas for both non-fiction and drama production. Some of the additional revenue associated with these prospective commissions will be recognised in the current financial year if production is completed before 30 June 2004.
