Beyond Films

January 11th, 2007: Beyond International Limited (BYI:ASX) has taken the strategic decision not to distribute any new feature films in the international market and to focus on exploiting its catalogue of over 150 feature films and more than 4000 hours of television programs. This decision is in line with the Board’s policy of dealing with any under performing assets and will mitigate any loss contributed by the Beyond Films division to the 2007 consolidated financial results (2006 division contributed loss $784,000) and eliminate any losses from the division in the 2008 financial year.

In order to ensure a smooth transition of the eight new films acquired in the past twelve months, Beyond Films has concluded an in principle agreement to appoint Bankside Films as its agent for the distribution of these new feature films. Bankside Films is based in London and has employed all the management and staff of the Beyond Films division who will be responsible for the marketing and sales of the eight feature films. The Beyond Group will not incur any employee or other termination costs.

As a result of this arrangement Beyond Films will not incur any further operating or marketing expenses and will receive an ongoing share of the commissions earned by Bankside Films from the exploitation of the eight films. This arrangement is subject to formal documentation being concluded and limited approvals being obtained from third parties. This is expected to occur in the next 14 days.

The Beyond Group will continue to market and license its catalogue of over 150 feature films, including Lantana, Chopper, Strictly Ballroom, and A Good Woman from its offices in Dublin, Sydney and London.
