September 14th, 2007: Beyond International Limited (BYI) hereby requests a trading halt under Listing Rule 17.1 with immediate effect, for the purposes of enabling the board to give consideration to the proposal announced by Mariner Financial Limited this morning, in the context of other indicative proposals in BYI which have been presented to the board. BYI wishes the trading halt to last until it makes a formal announcement in relation to the status of the matters referred to above, and it is anticipated that this will occur before the commencement of trading on Tuesday 18 September 2007.
BYI is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
