BEYOND EVEREST |  |  | 2003 is the 50th anniversary of Sir Edmund Hillary’s achievement as the first person to summit Mt. Everest. This documentary will stand as Hillary’s epitaph - an account of his life from his own perspective. It’s the story of a 50-year relationship between the Sherpa people who inhabit the foothills of Nepal, and Sir Edmund and his old climbing partner, George Lowe. Together they have built and maintained 30 schools, two hospitals, many health clinics, bridges and several monasteries.
