NED KELLY - THE TRUE STORY

The rise of terrorism and the persistence of social liberation movements highlight the question: what is the right way to respond to a corrupt government, oppression and injustice? The exploits of Ned Kelly, Australian icon and notorious outlaw, raise the same question. Thought a hero by some and a terrorist by others, this documentary sets out to examine the man and the issues and to tell the historically accurate story... POZIERES

Pozieres is an unremarkable little village in Northern France. In 1916, during the Great War, Pozieres became the site for an insane battle. The village was stormed and captured by Australian troops. In less than seven weeks though, they suffered twenty three thousand casualties for this tiny patch of earth. Pozieres was like a stone thrown violently into a pool that was the consciousness of a nation. The ripples spread outwards from the tiny French village and into the homes and hearts of those who endured, suffered, and lost.
