THE ZOO TOPS AGAIN - Press Release November 2007
Readers of the TV Guide, in their annual ‘Best on the Box’ People’s Choice Awards, have once again voted Greenstone Pictures’ classic series THE ZOO as their favourite Documentary Series. It’s the seventh year in a row THE ZOO has taken top place in its category. The Best on the Box Awards are the most comprehensive readers’ choice awards in the New Zealand television industry, with more than 11,000 readers taking part this year. “The viewers’ vote has once again reinforced THE ZOO’s place as an iconic New Zealand series,” says Greenstone Managing Director John Harris. “The win is a tribute to the dedicated keepers and the animals at the zoo, as well as Greenstone’s own creative team. And the fact that THE ZOO screens in dozens of countries around the world is proof of the show’s continuing appeal.”
