Successful time for Beyond at MIPCOM

Beyond Distribution secured sales totalling 464 hours at Mipcom, the Australian company has calculated since returning home this month.
Travel series and documentaries proved popular, with Pilot Guides and the Pilot Guide Specials selling to NRK Norway, IBA Israel, ERT Greece, MediaCorp TV12 Arts Central Singapore and ATV Hong Kong.
More than 200 hours of programming was licensed into the Czech and Slovak Republics, including series one to eight of Pilot Guides and series one to four of Stingers.
Further sales included RTE Ireland taking season 14 of Beyond 2000, ERT Greece picking up series three of Tomorrow's World, Douglas Chew Cooks Asia and A Sea Of Surprises, in addition to the Pilot Guide series.
TVNZ also pre-bought Amazon Women, while XYZ Australia licensed 13x30' episodes of Feng Shui Life, which Beyond represents in the Asian region for the Canadian production/distribution company Ellis Releasing. Fond Memories of Cuba sold to the Sundance Channel in New Zealand.
In Asia, Sfinx of Japan has grabbed Super Surgery and Skullduggery. Mediabank has picked up The Immortal for newly launched Korean satellite service E Channel and the feature film Taking Sides, starring Harvey Keitel, found a home in China through E Stars Entertainment, a Los Angeles-based company specialising in the Chinese market.
