Beyond renews production joint-venture

Australia's Beyond International and award-winning producers Roger Le Mesurier and Roger Simpson will continue their joint-venture production outfit for another three years, after a deal signed this week.

Beyond Simpson Le Mesurier was launched back in May 1994 and has since produced shows like Something in the Air, Good Guys/Bad Guys, Life and Dog Woman.

However, the best shows to come out of the joint-venture are Stingers, which has been licensed into 20 territories, while Halifax fp has been sold into the US, the UK, Germany and France.

Currently in production at the Sydney-based outfit is the seventh season of Stingers for Nine Network 2003, as well as development of Answered by Fire, a Canada-Australia miniseries that unites CBS, Muse Entertainment and ABC (Australia).
