Taxi Driver Gives Thumbs Up For Pilot Guides
Marena Manzoufos, Head of Programming for the Australian Broadcasting Commission (ABC) was recently out to lunch with Munia Kanna (Beyond’s VP of sales for Asia/Pacific). On the way there, Marena jumped into a taxi and proceeded to get into a light-hearted discussion with the taxi driver who mentioned what he liked to watch on TV.
“I like that around the world show – I don’t like the girl but I like the bloke”, he said. It turns out he was in fact talking about the hugely successful Pilot Guides and when he realised that his passenger was just on her way to lunch with Munia who licenced the series to the ABC, he said “tell her it’s a great show!”
Stingers is Addictive for Ontario Steel Worker and his Friends
Jim McCormick of Ontario, Canada contacted us by email with the following:
“I started watching TV in the mornings and came across your Stingers show. It ran on the Showcase Action channel every week day, right after a show called "Good Guys, Bad Guys" that I also thought was excellent. Anyway, I started with Stingers and was addicted. I really hope that you have transferred it to VHS or DVD, we do that with all the highly acclaimed series here in N.America - and Stingers is excellent. Upon my recommendation I've gotten a few of my friends addicted too, but it's now been reduced to once a week on a Sunday - that REALLY sucks.”
