Sydney 11th November, 2004 – SILVER SUN, Beyond’s new rocket fuelled live action children’s drama series, is proving a ratings smash hit. It has already captured a 70.4% share of 5-12 year old viewers in its few weeks on air in Australia on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).
Produced by Beyond Simpson Le Mesurier in association with the ABC and the Seven Network, SILVER SUN (40 x 30’) was launched by Beyond Distribution at MIPCOM Junior to the delight of buyers worldwide.
An exciting drama series set in the future, the action in SILVER SUN takes place in an ultra-modern spaceship. The young crew of the Star Runner have embarked on a mission of breath-taking proportion and are headed for a planet located in a distant solar system, the Silver Sun. It is their task to ensure the safe delivery of their passengers - cryonically suspended New Settlers - and pave the way for a new world. They have a long way to go and life can be tough when you’re growing up 45 light years from home – even when you’re on the adventure of a lifetime!
