BEYOND TITLES UP FOR PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS!

Sydney, 11th April 2005 – Beyond is pleased to announce that four of its titles have been nominated for Australia’s television industry awards – the 2005 Logie Awards.

SMALL CLAIMS (3 x 100 minute) and THROUGH MY EYES (2 x 2 hour) were each nominated for Most Outstanding Miniseries/Telemovie.
SMALL CLAIMS (produced by RB Films) sees internationally successful actresses Rebecca Gibney and Claudia Karvan team up in a series of mystery-thrillers featuring murder, mayhem and motherhood. THROUGH MY EYES (produced by Liberty and Beyond) is a big budget event drama telling the story of the infamous disappearance of Azaria Chamberlain at Uluru (Ayer’s Rock) in 1980 and stars Miranda Otto (Lord of the Rings), Paul Mercurio (Strictly Ballroom) and John McArdle (Brookside, Merseybeat, The Bill, Peak Practice, Cracker, Kavanagh QC).

STINGERS (192 x 1 hour) produced by Beyond Simpson Le Mesurier, is Beyond’s longest running drama series which reveals the shadowy world of undercover cops, has been nominated in the Silver Logie category for Most Outstanding Drama Series.

SMALL CLAIMS (Rebecca Gibney) and THROUGH MY EYES (Miranda Otto) were also nominated in the Silver Logie category for Most Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series.

Critically acclaimed medical documentary CHILDREN AT THE EDGE: CHLOE’S STORY (1 x 1 hour) produced by Electric Pictures has been nominated for Most Outstanding Documentary Series.

The Logie Awards will be announced in Melbourne, Australia on 1st May 2005.
