Beyond appoints new 'Head of Washington Production'

1st May, 2006: Beyond Productions Inc. announced today that Mark Finkelpearl has been appointed 'Vice President – Production'. Reporting to John Luscombe (General Manager and Senior Vice President), Mark will oversee development and production of programming originating from Beyond’s Washington DC office.
Beyond has production bases in Sydney Australia, San Francisco and Washington DC. Beyond produces over 250 hours of non fiction programming globally each year including the break out hit, MythBusters.
Mark is a seven-year veteran of Discovery Communications where he executive produced more than 350 hours of programming at Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, and TLC including "American Chopper" and "American Hotrod" . For three years, Finkelpearl was Director of Production at the Travel Channel and was instrumental in launching production of their hit series' "World Poker Tour" and "Made in America."
Prior to Discovery Communications, Finkelpearl was with National Geographic Television in Washington, DC. He also spent six years freelancing in the Los Angeles independent production community where his credits include programming for A&E, FOX, USA Network, Discovery Channel, and PBS.
Mark is taking the reins from Pamela Caragol Wells who is moving on to pursue independent documentary projects after successfully leading Beyond's North American office through an exciting period of expansion.
